As a Mama, you don’t often get the break you really need when you also have a young baby to care for. Mama Escapes are here to give some much needed TLC to all new mamas. So come and kick off your shoes and let us take care of you so you can start your summer in feeling revived, refreshed and renourished.

This retreat runs from Tuesday to Thursday and follows a similar format to our other Mum & Baby retreats (such as full nanny service, inspiring workshops, yoga and beautiful surroundings in our luxurious converted barn with swimming pool and sauna). Read on below for details on the nannies, accommodation, yoga, what is included, sample programme, costings and more. As a mum myself, I know that when a new little one arrives – everything changes! I also know there can sometimes be conflicting energies pulling you towards surrendering yourself to the almost unbearable love for this incredible new person and yet not wanting to lose your own identity amongst the daily (and sometimes never ending!) nappy changes, feeding, sleepless nights…


As the conversation about new mothers often feeling overwhelmed, unsupported and
sometimes lonely in their new role is finally opening up, it is making it ok for mums to say
“Yes. I’m finding this hard.”

Even if you are loving every minute, we all sometimes need a break for a few days just to step away from the hecticness of family life to savour delicious food you don’t have to cook (and clear up!), spend some quality time bonding with your new baby (especially true for second/third-time mums) and to just be able to enjoy a HOT cup of tea (sometimes it really is the simple pleasures in life)!

This retreat is for perfectly imperfect ‘real’ mums and their babies (up to 18 months). You don’t need to be amazing at yoga, have an angel baby that sleeps through the night and you certainly don’t need to worry about any sort of judgement. It’s time created for you – and you can choose what you’d like to take part in. As much or as little as you like.

Its about showing up just as you are and allowing yourself to be the one that is taken care of (for once!) so that you can renew your energy with delicious nutritious food and yoga, restore your confidence with our inspiring workshops and reconnect with yourself with some time out in our beautiful surroundings and making unlimited use of our dedicated creche run by experienced and certified nannies.

Your Mum & Baby Retreat includes:

  • 4 Inspiring Workshops to make you feel good:
    1. Nourish Yourself & Baby with Essential Oils
      You know that feeling when you suddenly realise you’re in for a treat? That this will be one of those evenings where you feel L U S H ? You know you’ll be sleeping really well tonight, your soul will be nourished and your heart will be full. 
      Led by holistic expert Ellie Seilern we will gather to not only learn about the benefits of essential oils for the health of your whole family but we’ll even make a luxurious body oil using some of the most divine smelling oils in Ellie’s collection! Think Wild Orange, Lavender and Frankincense in a base of organic, cold pressed almond oil. Forget about expensive lotions and potions, you’ll leave knowing exactly how to create an elixir of your own that will smell a thousand times more delicious!
    2. Yoga Workshop
      An open session where you can ask Suzanne the questions you never get to in class, learn the in-depth anatomy of certain postures, their benefits and how to do them to get the most benefit and avoid injury.
    3. Confident Mama Workshop
      Led by London Psychotherapist (and new mum) Natasha Harris, we will delve into all sorts of juicy topics as she shares with us practical tools and techniques to help deal with challenges faced by mums.
    4. Raw Chocolate Making Workshop
      Learn about how chocolate can actually be good for you (what mama doesn’t want to hear that?!) and some simple recipes to make it yourself at home. Tastings included!

You will feel truly nurtured at our luxurious venue Brooklands Barn – a 19th century converted barn set in 2 acres of land and surrounded by the beautiful countryside and yet only 10 minutes walk from Arundel’s historic city centre and castle.

With a newly built yoga studio with stunning vaulted beamed ceiling and underfloor heating, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, two treatment rooms, huge sitting room with a beautiful inglenook fireplace and extensive gardens, you cannot help but relax and let go of everyday stresses.

Take a deep breath as you look out onto the fields and open spaces and enjoy the wonderful nurturing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of daily family life. Whether you want to mingle and chat with other mums or take yourself away to snuggle into a book, there is plenty of space to unwind and relax.


As a nutritional therapist – food that makes you feel energised and amazing is a big and important focus on all Suzanne Cork’s retreats. As a passionate foodie – food that tastes delicious is an absolute imperative! Luckily, we work with the best in the food industry to bring you just that – tasty delicious food that you will love and yet is kind on your body.

Yes we will have dessert, but instead of using refined sugar our chefs will create sweet delicacies using natural and nourishing alternatives such as coconut nectar or dates.

Lunch times will be a more informal help yourself buffet affair while you may need to feed your little one too whereas dinner will table service and be served to you just so you can relax and focus on making new connections with our other lovely mums.


Your retreat includes an all day professional nanny service in our specially dedicated creche room that has been carefully designed to keep your baby happy so that you can relax and enjoy your time on the retreat, safe in the knowledge that your baby is being looked after close by.

All nannies are experienced & qualified with current certification and First Aid certification. The nannies are also available to take your baby for a stroll around the gardens, or mind them while they take their nap so you can relax comfortably. We’re here to support you every step of the way.


Let your body be invigorated through our morning yoga sessions and deeply relaxed in our evening restorative sessions. Suzanne is specifically trained to teach pre-natal and post-natal classes so you can relax in the knowledge that your participation is safe and you can attend even if you have given birth relatively recently or are a complete beginner.

You can read more about Suzanne’s teaching experience and style here but whether you are a super bendy yogi or would simply like one day to touch your toes, she will make sure that each of you benefits from the class and steps out afterwards feeling amazing.

Getting to our venue couldn’t be easier with the excellent road and rail links connecting it to mums across the South of England. London is just 90 minutes and Winchester is 50 minutes away.

You can also travel by train using one of the regular services to Arundel station, which has direct links from London Victoria and London Bridge (1.5 hours) and is a 5 minute drive from Brooklands.
